Oscar is a passionate software engineer working at the Empower Project on a software tool to build power through relational organizing. He wears many hats but the main ones he has are first-generation immigrant, first-generation college graduate, DACAmented Mexican American, and activist for equity and inclusion. Having immigrated to the US at the age of 4 years old he has had his share of challenges and does not wish them upon others. He believes that much like in software, our society has the opportunity to continuously iterate and improve.
